Sign up for your class/classes through Mindbody.
For studio classes:
1) Studio classes will take place in the studio (60 Mohns Ave).
2) Please bring a yoga mat and water to your class.
3) Enjoy your class!
For Any Virtual Classes: - We do not currently offer virtual classes.
We do however have free classes available on our facebook page (under the video section)
1) You will receive an email with the link to join the class virtually 30 minutes prior to the class start time
2) Grab your mat, and join us from the comfort of your home.
Beyond The Mat Yoga & Fitness was created by two instructors, Sarah Gunter and Mellissa Rigby who are both passionate about moving the body and bringing a sense of mindfulness and over all well-being to our community. We offer a variety of yoga and fitness classes in a welcoming studio where our clients can have fun, express themselves and leave it all on their mat.

Spend Some Time With Us
HOT YOGA: THIS POWERFUL HEATED CLASS OF 32-35 DEGREES UTILIZES DIFFERENT STYLES OF YOGA TO MAXIMIZE FLEXIBILITY AND STRENGTH, WHILE LENGTHENING AND STRETCHING THE MUSCLE TISSUES AND LIGAMENTS. TEACHERS BRING THEIR OWN CREATIVE ELEMENT RESULTING IN DIVERSE AND INSPIRING CLASSES. HEATED CLASSES ARE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE SWEAT AND DETOXIFICATION AS WELL AS REDUCE STRESS.
POWER FLOW: THIS CLASS WILL WARM YOUR MUSCLES ALLOWING YOU TO SAFELY REACH NEW LEVELS OF PERSONAL FLEXIBILITY. THIS CLASS WILL FLOW AND INCLUDE DEEP STRETCHING, BALANCES, DEEP CORE, STRENGTHENING, FLOOR WORK AND GUIDED RELAXATION TO RELEASE LAYERS OF TENSION AND TIGHTNESS.
RESTORATIVE YOGA: THIS CLASS IS A PERFECT ENDING TO A BUSY DAY! WE WILL GUIDE YOU THROUGH SUPPORTIVE RESTORATIVE POSES TO EASE THE MIND AND BODY. POSES WILL BE HELD BETWEEN 3 AND 5 MINUTES, WHILE YOUR TEACHER GUIDES YOU THROUGH MINDFULNESS AND RELAXATION TECHNIQUES.
HAPPY HIPS: THIS HATHA BASED PRACTICE WITH EMPHASIS ON OPENING AND STRENGTHENING THE HIPS. CREATING HARMONY IN THE HIPS OFTEN LEADS TO HARMONY IN THE ENTIRE BODY/MIND. HAPPIER HIPS MAKE FOR HAPPIER DAYS AND NIGHTS.
BEGINNER'S YOGA: THIS CLASS IS A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO THE FUNDAMENTALS OF YOGA. THIS CLASS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE VARIOUS YOGA STYLES AND BENEFITS OF PRACTICING YOGA.
HATHA YOGA: EMBODY THE TRUE SPIRIT OF BREATH - SYNCHRONIZED MOVEMENT SET TO YOUR BREATH WORK. BEGIN WITH A WARM UP THROUGH SUN SALUTATIONS AND PROGRESS THROUGH SEQUENCES THAT BUILD STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY. ALL CLASSES FOCUS ON PROPER ALIGNMENT AND SAFETY WITH ADDED CHALLENGES FROM OUR SERIES.
WARM YIN: DURING THIS WARM CLASS YOU WILL SLOW DOWN AND FOCUS DEEPER ON MORE MEDITATIVE MOVEMENTS, GIVING YOU SPACE TO TURN INWARD AND TUNE INTO BOTH YOUR MIND AND THE PHYSICAL SENSATIONS OF YOUR BODY. THIS CLASS WILL TARGETS YOUR DEEP CONNECTIVE TISSUES, SUCH AS YOUR FASCIA, LIGAMENTS, JOINTS, AND BONES.
Focus on the present moment. We offer a variety of heated and non heated classes designed for what your mind and body needs the most from strength to relaxation. For Class Descriptions click on class schedule above.
PILATES: THIS CLASS BALANCES THE BODY, CREATING BOTH STRENGTH AND LENGTH. WITH A FOCUS ON STABILIZING MUSCLES, YOUR JOINTS WILL BECOME BETTER SUPPORTED DECREASING THE CHANCE OF INJURY. WE MAY INCORPORATE PROPS, SMALL WEIGHTS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT TO HELP DEFINE MUSCLES FOR A FULL BODY WORKOUT.
BOOTCAMP: THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED TO KEEP THE BODY GUESSING AND PUSHING YOU TO YOUR LIMIT. THESE CLASSES WILL COMBINE A VARIETY OF MOVEMENTS AND VARY AS AN INTERVAL, CIRCUIT AND HIIT WORKOUT DEPENDING ON THE DAY ;) MIXING CALISTHENICS AND BODY WEIGHT EXERCISES WITH CARDIO AND STRENGTH TRAINING.
BARRE: THIS CLASS EMPHASIZES BALLET INSPIRED MOVES THAT LIFTS YOUR BOOTY, TONES YOUR THIGHS, (SUCH AS PLIES, SQUATS AND LUNGES) WITH FOCUS ON THE CORE MUSCLES. THIS CLASSES USES HIGH REP OF SMALL RANGE MOVEMENTS (PULSING).
THE CLASS IS DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FEEL THE BURN ALL WHILE HAVING FUN!
YOGALITATES: THIS LUNCHTIME CLASS IS A THE PERFECT MIXTURE OF YOGA AND PILATES.
Our fitness classes help build a strong, lean and defined body. Each class is designed to help you reach your fitness goals in a fun atmosphere. We let sweat do the talking for us as we unleash our inner BADASS! For class descriptions, please see above.
